In order to progress, you must allow yourself to be open to new ideas and ways of thinking. There is no doubt that what I’m writing about now will be completely different to how the site will be in the future. That’s how we become better people. Tailoring our thoughts and abilities so that we handle both the expected and the unexpected day by day.

Markets, systems, platforms, software, the eco-system, trends, arts, technology and so on… they all change. So should your business. You need to stay open minded if you are to stay in the game. Be open to what might be around the corner and embrace it.
Remember Blockbuster? I bet some of you won’t even remember VHS thinking of it. Their business was dwindling. On their doorstep was the opportunity to stay in the game and progress their model with a new platform. What was that platform? Online! They had the opportunity to buy Netflix for $50 million. The decision makers were not open to change and pretty much laughed Netflix out of the door. As they ran from change their entire business crumbled. Netflix is currently worth $32.9 billion with over 50 million paid subscribers.

Technology is changing at a pace that we could never have comprehended… and it’s stunning! In order to stay in the game, you WILL need to stay open, stay hungry and wake every day excited for what might be around the corner.
Now, I’m not saying do things differently everyday. I have wrote about the importance of routine many times over. This helps you deal with life more effectively. Shit happens and your body and mind need to operate to it autonomously. Having an open mind is just as important.
